This opening of the multiplex cinemas is an important milestone for PNG as it provided a movie experience unlike anything offered in the local market. It truly changed how people enjoy their free time after school or work time, their weekends, their nights out at the movies, etc.

Following the closure of Wards Cinema and Skyline Drive-Inn yesteryear, there has been no commercial cinema in Port Moresby for the past few years. The city residents had nowhere to go for the latest blockbuster movies.
